Binding Real Estate Partnership

(T&G News Service): Darby was suspicious.  Miss Paris was not to be trusted.  Still, Darby had only heard rumors.  Miss Paris had never played any dirty tricks on her.  Miss Paris was a partner in the real estate company and Darby was simply a real estate agent.  She insisted that no one call her by her first name because that showed a lack of respect.  No one dared to go against her wishes.  If they did, they soon left the company.

Miss Paris had never even looked Darby's direction until Darby 'stole' a longtime client.  A client that generated a lot of business.  Actually, Darby hadn't stolen Miss Paris' client exactly.  The client was a good friend of Darby's family.  Miss Paris didn't seem upset over the loss of the client.  Of course, she couldn't fire Darby because the client would probably follow Darby to a new company.

When Miss Paris had suggested that Darby consider a real estate partnership with her, this surprised Darby.  Miss Paris only went into partnerships with the elite of the company.

The property that Miss Paris wanted Darby's to partner on was an abandoned warehouse.  When they arrived, Darby was even more confused.  This place was a dump and wasn't worth any effort at all.  There were two chairs and some rope on one of them.  It was all very strange.  It was until Miss Paris put a very sharp knife to Darby's throat.
