(T&G News Service): Why would Miss Paris do such a thing?  Simple...if she lost this client, the other partner's in the company would dump her.  No, Miss Paris had to discredit Darby.  The best way of doing that was to make sure that she didn't show up for a critical meeting with the planning commission and the client that would take place later this afternoon.  She would be there to save the day...while Darby squirmed in some well-deserved ropes.  No one would believe Darby...even the client...after Miss Paris had finished with her.

There was little Darby could do with a knife to her throat.  She was directed to a chair and felt the rope securing her.
