(T&G News Service): "You look so pretty!  All wrapped up in silk scarves...you should thank me.  I will be in the house for another hour or so...there are so many wonderful things to take.  Then I will see what you have in your apartment.  I suggest that you remain docile until I am gone.  If you annoy me, I'll have to wrap even more scarves around your head and you wouldn't want that, would you?  After I leave, you can struggle, if you want...perhaps I should say if you are able to", the woman told me...and then she was gone.

I don't know how long I sat in that chair...I was told that it was about 3 hours, but it felt like a lifetime.  Each time I tried to struggle, I quickly became exhausted and had to stop.  The apartment manager finally rescued me.  The burglar had called her to tell her that I was helplessly bound and gagged in this apartment.  I found my apartment thoroughly ransacked like my neighbor's.  At the moment, I am just happy to be free from the ropes and scarves.
