(T&G News Service): Once untied, Mandy started arguing with Miss Jones that she must call the police immediately.  Miss Jones reminded Mandy that she was the VP and Mandy was JUST an intern.  Mandy then told Miss Jones that it was obvious to her that she was involved with the robbery.  Miss Jones looked shocked.  Perhaps Mandy was the inside person in the robbery, Miss Jones suggested.  Who would believe an intern anyway?  Then Mandy made a critical mistake and she knew it immediately.  She told Miss Jones, "Miss Jones, I AM NOT an intern.  I am a PI hired by the president of the company to investigate white collar crime in the company.  Now give me the cellphone!"  Miss Jones compiled.

Miss Jones watched Mandy carefully and quietly opened the drawer in her desk.  Her boyfriend and accomplice had given it to her...just in case.  For Amanda Jones, she was no longer in control of the situation.  That just wouldn't do.  This Mandy Clue had to be stopped and she had to have time to escape.
