(T&G News Service): Mary Jane struggled to free herself.  Perhaps there was help at the end of the long hallway?  But the kidnapper went that way.  If there was someone down that hallway, would they even notice that she was bound and gagged?  Mary Jane tried to use her high heel shoe to work the knot of the scarf.

With all her struggles, all she accomplished was to rid herself of the headscarf.  Now anyone would see that she was gagged.  Then she heard footsteps coming down the hall.  Now she would be rescued!
